Pharmacy Integrity Coordinator
Job Summary :

Responsible for researching and analyzing manual controlled substance orders and controlled substance override requests. Generates Ad-Hoc and standardized reports for DEA agents within mandated timeframes by writing queries and using advanced features of Excel. Acts as a subject matter expert in controlled substance ordering procedures, DEA licensing, and the Good Faith Dispensing policy. Educates store users and supervisors on proper procedures. Reviews and audits controlled substance loss forms to ensure proper reporting. Validates and updates prescriber profiles as needed.
 
Job Responsibilities :Researches and analyzes controlled substance orders placed manually at store level. Determines if the orders are suspicious based on ordering patterns and circumstances, and takes appropriate actions to educate the user on proper ordering procedures.Generates reports and provides data to DEA agents on store dispensing patterns, and prescriber or patient profiles within a 48 hour window. Builds Ad-Hoc queries to pull data outside of normal reporting requirements.Maintains up-to-date knowledge about issues such as controlled substance ordering procedures, GFD policies, and DEA licensing requirements. Assists stores and field supervision with questions via email and phone on a variety of related topics.Assists analysts in creating and reviewing store audits for controlled substance losses. Collaborates with Pharmacy Managers and Supervisors to ensure that losses are reported within the required timeframe and with 100% accuracy.Manages prescriber ticket resolution system. Validates and updates prescriber records. Collaborates with Pharmacists to ensure that any prescription blocking is legitimate.Researches and analyzes requests for increases to controlled substance allocations. Makes informed decisions based on collaboration with Pharmacy Managers, Supervisors, and item vendors. Mitigates risk to the company by ensuring that due diligence is completed and documented.Assists in the implementation and updating of the Good Faith Dispensing and Target Drug Good Faith Dispensing policies.Utilizes skills in Excel, PowerPoint and the ability to query databases in order to assist analysts in the creation of presentations and training for store staff and supervision.About Walgreens
