Responsibilities
The SJH Pharmacy Department is looking for a dynamic Pharmacist Intern to join our team to assist the Pharmacist in a per diem role. The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
assists the Pharmacist in the support of the drug distribution systems including patient counseling and pharmacokinetic calculationsparticipates in performance improvement and data collections activitiesresponsible for dosage preparation, preparation of sterile admixture using aseptic technique, floor stock delivery, pre-packaging, billing, receiving, and stockingparticipates in providing pharmaceutical care for the following age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatricsother responsibilities include: inventory control, controlled substances distribution, documentation and accountability, assisting in the inspection of medication storage areas throughout the hospital, and maintaining the cleanliness of the departmentall responsibilities are performed under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist according to local board of pharmacy and state regulationsperforms other tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist QualificationsEducation and Work Experience
