Pharmacy Intern Job Responsibilities:

Under the Pharmacist supervision:

Performs all aspects of medication distribution. Manages medication inventory. Maintains Automated Dispensing Machine. Performs monthly pharmacy inspections per policies/procedures. Participates in patient care. Participates in department quality improvements projects. Develops skills and knowledge base necessary to practice as a pharmacist.

Pharmacy Intern Additional Requirements:

Work schedule: shift varies (days/evenings rotating shift.) Education: High School or GED and enrolled in Pharmacy School.  Licensure: State of Virginia Pharmacy Technician license or a Pharmacy Intern license. Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
