As a Pharmacy Inventory Technician you will:
• Works in conjunction with facility pharmacy management and the system procurement specialist/manager to ensure drug inventory is adequate to meet the needs of day-to-day operations, confirm drug product barcodes are entered into appropriate databases for patient safety
• Responsible for medication orders from wholesalers and outside vendors, avoiding stockouts and assisting with the reduction of medication waste.
• Orders and receives drug and non-drug orders from wholesalers and outside vendors, scan each drug into the appropriate database systems, record keeping as applicable, communicate drugs not in the system(s) to System Pharmacy IT manager or designee, manage drop shipment orders and communicate with Materials Management/Loading Dock, prepack drugs as needed for dispensing, manage the EHR Immunization Management Worklist, maintain organization of storage areas (i.e. overstock and code cart), and provides staff training related to job duties to ensure coverage
• Participate in improvement projects and present to pharmacy staff as applicable
• Additional duties as assigned


Qualifications include:
• Licensure as Pharmacy Technician by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification
• PTCB Medication History Certificate or PTCB Billing and Reimbursement Certificate (once available) preferred
• At least 2 years work experience specifically with automated distribution systems and decentralized pharmacy services. Medication history documentation experience preferred.

Work Schedule:

7am - 3:30p. May work occasionally on Sundays.

*Current AHC employees are not eligible for a sign-on bonus who are transferring from one entity to another and/or transferring within their entity. Employees that have terminated their employment with AHC are not eligible for a sign-on bonus prior to six months of returning if hired for a position offering a sign-on bonus.

Pay Range:

$25.63 - $35.89

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
