This position is responsible for the daily activities two 24/7/365 Emergency Department pharmacy satellites (adult and peds), servicing approximately 100,000 ED admissions annually. The Clinic Requisition Service includes pharmacy technicians responsible for processing clinic requisitions from approximately 400 onsite/offsite clinics and research laboratories. The Automation Team includes clinical pharmacy analysts who maintain several automation platform databases including those of our Automated Dispensing Cabinets, IV workflow solution, and Anesthesia labeling software. In addition, UM Health Pharmacy Services actively participates with vendors in enhancement and introductory projects with new software before it is generally released for purchase. This position is actively involved in those engagements. Keys to success for this position include fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, exceptional personnel management skills, and clinical and distribution system thinking. This position serves as pharmacy administrator on-call on a rotating basis. Approximately 10% staffing is required based on the team?s scheduling needs.
