Summary: + The Pharmacy Manager for Penn Home Infusion Therapy is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical and business operations including supervising pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support personnel, productivity, performance, and adherence to regulatory requirements. They are accountable for the quality of pharmacy services, both clinical and dispensing, provided and that these services are delivered meeting Local, State, Federal, Joint Commission, CMS, USP, OSHA, and NIOSH standards. They accomplish this goal by enabling the staff with processes, tools and resources and by creating an environment in which each staff member under their purview is motivated and competent to serve the needs of patients and referral sources, and by utilizing performance improvement processes to continuously improve the quality of care and service regarding the clinical team and compounding area activities. In addition, they partner with other Penn Home Infusion Therapy departments and other Penn Medicine at Home leaders in building strong relationships to meet their needs. Responsibilities: + Establish and monitor pharmacy standards of practice and success and ensures that teams and individuals have the clinical and operational information to succeed in serving our patients and customers. Foster teamwork though recruitment and retention, performance management, and staff development, including conducting annual review to access employee ability to achieve goals and benchmarks set for them as well as assisting in the design and execution of the competency program.Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the operations and clinical services provided by the PHIT pharmacy department.Monitor, measure and continually improve patient care processes to ensure clinical effectiveness and quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. Establishes clinical and operational improvement priorities and sponsors improvement activities within the Penn Home Infusion Therapy pharmacy.Develop, lead and implement multidisciplinary projects. Encourage others to meet departmental goals and standards while maintaining a high level of process and quality improvement.Accomplish department objectives through monitoring daily workflow of pharmacists, technicians and support staff to peak department efficiency, performance and productivity.Maintain product compounding policy and procedures to comply with current state and federal guidelines.Manage all aspects of hazardous drug handling including training, competency, SOP, and compliance with current state and federal guidelines. Credentials: + Pharmacist (Required) + Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy in good standing required.
