Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Pharmacy Manager - Medication Safety.
In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for overseeing medication safety and quality practices for NYU Langone Health NYULH and for growing NYULH into an institution for excellence in medication use safety and quality outcomes
Job Responsibilities:
Develops and directs structured and visible interdisciplinary medication safety campaigns across sites nbsp; Jointly oversees NYU Langone Health Medication Safety Committee and Pharmacy amp; Therapeutics Committee nbsp; Manages an interdisciplinary medication safety team that implements effective risk reduction strategies aimed at improving the quality of medication use outcomes while reducing the incidence and impact of errors and adverse effects of medications nbsp; Establishes collaborative relationships with other hospitals and quality and safety organizations Develops and implements institution wide medication safety strategic plans Identifies best practices for medication safety nbsp; Analyzes current practices that contribute to medication errors and establishes proactive steps for prevention nbsp; Supports and encourages medication error reporting throughout the organization by issuing periodic newsletters and educational initiatives aimed at improving medication safety nbsp; Analyzes data and determines trends for process improvement nbsp; Promotes a Just Culture Supports Medication Safety and Quality efforts for all pharmacies across the enterprise Facilitates process and system changes by promoting standardization to improve medication safety and quality Reviews and/or oversees PSIs performs investigation on medication safety events and communicates recommendations to improve Attends RCAs and effectively shares and communicates findings with pharamacy department Works collaborative interdepartmentally on medication safety initiatives Performs other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Doctor of Pharmacy Pharm D Specialized training in quality and patient medication safety curricula is required Licensed or eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist in the state of NY
Preferred Qualifications:
PGY 1 and PGY 2 in Medication Safety
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $146,384.39 - $243,974.35 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
