Pharmacy Medication Records Specialist /Licensed Pharmacy Tech
Adecco is recruiting an experienced Pharmacy Medication Records Specialist for one of the nation’s largest long-term care (LTC) pharmacy services providers in San Diego, CA. We are seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician with expertise in State Assisted Living regulations and facility requirements to serve as a liaison between operations and clients, ensuring accurate medication record-keeping and addressing any related issues. **Location:** San Diego, CA 92131 ( **Onsite** at a closed-door pharmacy) **Schedule:** During initial training period, shift will be 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, transitioning to a rotating schedule including 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM and a weekend day of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. The pharmacy operates from 7:00 AM - 1:00 AM. **Pay:** The anticipated wage for this position is between $ 26 and $28- Hourly wage depends upon experience, education, geographic location and other factors. **Required Skills and Qualifications:** + **Must** hold a current CA Pharmacy Technician license. + **Must** have experience working with medication administration records + Must possess at least 1+years of experience in managing and maintaining medication records + Advanced computer skills: **pharmacy operations system experience required** . + Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines. + Quality-minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate. + Working knowledge of State Assisted Living regulations and facility requirements. + Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute. **Key Responsibilities:** + Work as a liaison between operations and clients regarding medication record-keeping and any related issues. + Maintain all medication-related records for all facilities and forward any service issues to Marketing for attention. + Establish and maintain facility profiles as needed and create new admit profiles in the QS1 system. + Communicate with facilities to obtain adequate information for resident/facility profiles. + Develop and maintain contact relationships with facility staff and ensure service problems are routed to marketing and operations for timely resolution. + Create and implement custom Standing Orders or Medication Administration Records (MARs) print options as requested. + Understand eMar procedures and navigate each eMar platform to troubleshoot and resolve customer problems. + Work with prescribers and facility staff to maintain continuous, active prescriptions for residents. + Update monthly Medication Administration Records and Physician Orders (POs) for facilities. + Communicate with facilities regarding problems with prescription drug interactions and resident profiles via telephone/fax. + Maintain notes on resident profiles regarding problem resolution and communicate prescription questions/issues with physicians/medical office staff as needed. + Establish and maintain delivery schedules for monthly records with facilities and courier function. + Print monthly records and route to courier function for timely delivery. + Generate custom reports for facilities as requested and maintain a schedule for custom monthly reports. + Coordinate with data entry function to ensure drug profiles are active. + Perform monthly reviews of facility profiles and update as needed. + Maintain appropriate levels of supplies inventory by reporting ordering needs to the Inventory Department. + Assist Pharmacists with prescriptions, problem resolution, or any other tasks as directed. + Enter and profile prescriptions into various systems. + Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed. **Education and Certifications:** + High School Diploma or GED required. + **Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration required.** Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
