Pharmacy Operations Accreditation Consultant (Remote)

SUMMARY
Primary responsibility for this position is to investigate, track, and trend specialty pharmacy data.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Conduct detailed reviews of medication-related incidents, errors, and near-misses to determine root causes and strategize ways to prevent recurrence. Develop corrective action plans and collaborate with pharmacy operations to implement them. Address and resolve identified issues with pharmacy operations, providing support as needed. Analyze specialty pharmacy data to identify trends and patterns in reported incidents. Prepare reports on performance trends for pharmacy leadership, highlighting areas for improvement. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective action plans by tracking progress and conducting follow-up reviews. Confer with management to understand work situations requiring training and to better comprehend changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies. Participate in the planning and delivery of new pharmacy operations initiatives, including learning new systems and processes. Develop strong relationships with pharmacy PICs and Regional Directors to solicit feedback and identify key process improvement opportunities for pharmacy staff. Coordinate testing and Quality Assurance (QA) efforts in support of new pharmacy systems and platform capabilities. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or Seven years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Minimum of Seven years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Active and in good standing Pharmacy Technician registration in state of residence.

Preferred Qualifications:

Specialty Pharmacy experience. Two years of quality improvement experience or program/project experience.  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis. Experience in producing and analyzing quality metric data to meet accreditation standards.
