Pharmacy Operations Accreditation Specialist (Remote)

SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the preparation and maintenance of specialty pharmacy accreditations (URAC, ACHC) across multiple locations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Conduct thorough assessments of current pharmacy practices and procedures to identify areas requiring alignment with accreditation standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including pharmacists, compliance officers, and quality assurance personnel, to implement accreditation standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accreditation standards set forth by organizations such as URAC, ACHC, and others relevant to specialty pharmacy. Prepare and organize documentation, reports, and evidence required for accreditation surveys and audits. Monitor changes in accreditation standards and regulations; communicate updates and implications to relevant stakeholders. Conduct regular internal audits and mock surveys to assess readiness for upcoming accreditation surveys. Serve as the point of contact during accreditation surveys. Prepare and review quality data points for quarterly and annual reports. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy operations and ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation standards. Assist in the development and coordinate testing and Quality Assurance (QA) efforts in support of new pharmacy systems and platform capabilities. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Basic Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of three years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Experience in a specialty pharmacy environment with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations, including dispensing practices and patient care services.

Preferred Qualifications:

Active and in good standing Pharmacy Technician registration. Experience with specialty pharmacy accreditation processes (URAC/ACHC). One year of regulatory/accreditation compliance experience. One year of quality improvement experience or program/project experience.
