Join our team as a Manager of Pharmacy Operations and take a lead role in enhancing patient safety and operational efficiency within our pharmacy department. In this pivotal position, you will spearhead the development, planning, and implementation of initiatives and services aimed at improving patient care and workflow processes. You'll be responsible for supervising and directing the daily operations of the department, including overseeing technology and automation systems, staff training and supervision, medication preparation, inventory management, and quality assurance/improvement efforts.
Additionally, you'll play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance and assisting in the management of the pharmacy in the absence of the Director of Pharmacy. Your Everyday
Assists in planning and coordinating activities to enhance pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with regulations.
Develops new procedures and processes to promote growth, teamwork, and efficiency within the department.
Cultivates relationships with ancillary departments to optimize pharmacy care delivery.
Optimizes Automated Dispensing Cabinet (ADC) policies, procedures, and operations.
Collaborates with stakeholders to maintain the pharmacy drug formulary and drive departmental initiatives.
Addresses immediate concerns from hospital administration in the absence of leadership.
Maintains department cleanliness and ensures adherence to cleaning protocols and inspections.
Investigates incident reports, analyzes data for trends, and implements process improvements to enhance patient safety.
The Must-Haves
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Louisiana State Board of Pharmacy – Pharmacy certification
5 years of experience as a pharmacist in an acute care hospital
3 years of experience in a supervisory/lead role
