Pharmacy Manager - Inpatient Pharmacy
Full-time exempt position, first shift
Job Description:
Responsible for operational services in the acute care hospital and if applicable, hospital owned outpatient departments (HOPDs). Responsible for developing policies and procedures to ensure that medications are stored, prepared, and dispensed in a safe and effective manner. Ensures that distribution services are provided to meet the needs of the medical staff, patients, nurses, and associates. The Pharmacy Operations Manager facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies.
Requirements/Preferred Qualifications:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
Current pharmacist license in good standing as issued by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy
Minimum of five (5) years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Completion of PGY-1/PGY-2 ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency in administration preferred or previous management experience preferred
Board certification or other advanced certification preferred
