GENERAL SUMMARY:
Manage the daily operations of pharmacy services.
Location: Madison Heights
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM- 4:30PM. Additional/different hours maybe required depending on pharmacy needs for special projects or urgent situations.
Henry Ford Madison Heights Hospital is a full-service hospital with a Level 4 Adult Trauma Center and 24/7 emergency care and surgical specialists. We offer many specialty care services including heart care, sleep medicine, bariatric weight loss and more. We deliver a wide range of outpatient services, including diagnostic imaging, lab tests, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and rehabilitation therapy services all on one campus.
PRINCPLE DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES:
+ Develop and implement performance improvement activities to include medication safety, medication use evaluation and Pharmacoeconomics.
+ Conduct competency assessments and coordinate the training and development of pharmacists, pharmacy residents and pharmacy students.
+ Develop and manage departmental budget to promote Pharmacoeconomics.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations. Also serve on various committees.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
+ Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy required.
+ 3 years of hospital experience required.
+ 1 year of leadership or management experience required.
+ Advanced degree or Master's degree preferred.
+ PGY1 Residency training or equivalent experience preferred.
+ 2-3 years of leadership experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
+ Pharmacist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
+ Board certification in Sterile Compounding preferred
