evenings and weekends, as needed. Job Summary The College of Pharmacy Office of Academic Affairs invites applicants for our open position – Pharmacy Program Coordinator for Student Success.

This position is responsible for providing individual and group career coaching, academic advising and student success initiatives for the College of Pharmacy professional and graduate students. They will meet with applicants to develop personal development plans for student success and educate multiple audiences regarding the professional program, dual degree options, and pharmacy profession and role of the pharmacist.

Additional responsibilities include researching best practices and implementing, and evaluating programs as well as developing and facilitating Student Success programing for the College of Pharmacy from matriculation to graduation for the PharmD professional and Ph.D. students. This position will also analyze reports for trends in student success and develop strategies to reverse downward trends in outcome measures.

The position will also serve as a liaison between campus-wide units such as the Registrar’s Office, Career Center, Counseling and Testing Center, Center for Support and Intervention, Financial Wellness, Disability Resource Center, Study Abroad and other student support service units.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Ability to manage multiple projects, to perform effectively with a fluctuating workload, and to generate a number of different problem-solving approaches; Self-directed, working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction while setting priorities that accurately reflect relative importance of job assignments; Strong organizational skills, Strong writing and editing skills are essential; Prior experience advising students in higher education particularly pre-professional; Public relations skills; Experience managing collaborative partnerships; Superior communication, presentation, planning, and prioritization skills; Candidate must take the initiative in organizing and managing new programs and planning new events; Commitment to helping students identify and achieve their goals; Flexibility in a changing, fast-paced environment; Strong working knowledge of social media and technologies; Strong customer-service; Team management; Knowledge of trends in medical/health professional schools admissions

Some weekend and evening work, as well as travel, is required for recruitment activities. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree plus three or more years of experience with advising and recruiting for a professional healthcare college preferred.
Driver’s License preferred.
