**Job Description:** **Job Description:** The Presbyterian College and Walgreens PGY1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency program allows the pharmacy resident to build upon their professional skills by providing a variety of patient care services. The primary site for this residency is in Anderson, South Carolina. Additional practice sites for the residency program will be in Clinton, South Carolina and Laurens, South Carolina. The residency is academically affiliated with Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy. Pharmacy residents in this setting will have a direct influence on patient outcomes through participation in patient counseling, immunization services, and medication therapy management services with a specific emphasis on addressing social determinants of health and barriers to care. Residents will also work to develop collaboration with area providers and develop innovative clinical services for patients. Residents will explore the development and evaluation of clinical services through completion of a business plan. The pharmacy resident will have a variety of teaching opportunities, including the opportunity to complete a teaching and learning certificate. The residency program graduates will be leaders in the pharmacy community and will have an active role in advancing community practice.
