Job Description

The Pharmacy Services Technician will be the client-facing representative responsible for servicing clients by providing a high level of customer service. This includes troubleshooting issues over the phone, performing weekly routine maintenance on dispensing equipment, restocking automated dispensing units, and documenting all service events, activities, and on-site training activities.

ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional customer service to clients.Troubleshoot issues over the phone.Perform weekly routine maintenance on dispensing equipment.Restock automated dispensing units.Document all service events, activities, and on-site training activities.Manage client relationships and be the main point of contact for servicing them.Set own schedule for 40 hours per week.Opportunity to grow into a Lead PST role and act as the local escalation point for Minnesota/Wisconsin/Iowa PSTs.Essential SkillsRegistered pharmacy technician with the state of Iowa (national certification does not count, must be registered with IA).Excellent customer service and relationship building skills.3+ months of pharmacy experience in a retail (CVS, Walgreens, etc.) or LTC (order entry/triage side) setting.Certification as a pharmacy technician.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with data entry.Experience working in target environments such as Walgreens, CVS, Cub Foods.Work Environment

The Pharmacy Services Technician will be on the road servicing 3-4 Long Term Care facilities (clients) for the full 40 hours of the week. The locations will be in Bettendorf, Arbor Court, and Parkview in Iowa (all in the Davenport Area). The technician will use their own car and will be reimbursed for mileage. If they receive a call from a home during and outside business hours, the expectation is that they return it within 1 hour. To be successful in this role, the technician needs to understand the full pharmacy/LTC process. Initial training includes 1 week at the office learning internal processes (reimbursed for travel to Eden Prairie, MN, with a hotel room provided) and 1 week in the field with another PST.
