Responsibilities Under the supervision of a pharmacist, assist with the technical, and non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations. Assist in compounding non-sterile medications by USP 795 and other regulatory agencies and organizational policies. Restock the pharmacy with inventory from orders and medications received from returns from the floor or automated dispensing machines. Ensure all expired, damaged, or compromised medication in the pharmacy, automated machines, and floor stock are removed and segregated from active inventory. Maintain documentation of activities by following policy, and neatly file appropriate documentation records. Assist in training newly hired pharmacy techs. Monitor and review daily batch reports, such as restock reports, stock out reports, all station events, discrepancies, overrides, and ordered medications not loaded. Prepare sterile intravenous admixtures aseptically and by USP 797/800, State Board of Pharmacy Regulations, and organizational policies. Maintain the pharmacy in an organized manner. Qualifications Job Requirements: High School graduate or GED. 2+ years of previous hospital pharmacy technician experience (inclusive of training programs). Completion of sterile compounding training/competency (as required by State BOP). Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy. National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT). Current Basic Life Support certification
