The Pharmacy Tech must promote good public relations for the department and Mountainview RMC while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality. Pharmacy Techs are responsible for:
Assisting pharmacists in serving patients and in maintaining medication and inventory control systems.Under the general supervision of the Director and other pharmacists, the pharmacy technician performs various distributive and clerical functions associated with the dispensing, delivery, and charging of medications and IV fluids. Education / Certification / Licensure: High school diploma equivalent.Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program.1-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.Experience / Skill:Working knowledge of unit dose distribution, repackaging, sterile compounding, medication storage inspections, and pharmacy automated devicesInterpersonal and communication skills necessary to meet the needs of all customer groupsConcentration and attention to detail- often under time pressuresAt Mountain View we pride ourselves on fostering an environment that is warm and welcoming where everyone feels heard, supported and valued.
