Kettering Health Main Campus, formerly Kettering Medical Center, is the flagship hospital of Kettering Health and has been serving Kettering, Ohio and the Greater Dayton area since 1964. The second shift supervisor is responsible for the assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care during their assigned shift. The second shift supervisor will facilitate, precept, and mentor staff and team members to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills. They will continuously assess unit needs to ensure adequate resources for current and upcoming shifts by collaborating the Technician Coordinator and Pharmacy Manager. The second shift supervisor will always demonstrate professionalism, meet regulatory and policy requirements, engage standards of practice, and hold team members accountable for a safe, competent practice, quality care, and continual improvement. The second shift supervisor reports to the technician coordinator. This role will engage in staffing 50% of time and supervision 50% of time. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
High school diploma or GEDNationally Certified Pharmacy Technician
Work Experience
2 years inpatient pharmacy technician experience
Licenses, Certifications and Registrations
· Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, Registration as a Certified Technician
Skills
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Basic Microsoft office knowledge
· Excellent skills in development and motivation of peers
Essential Functions
· Proficient in all staffing duties
· Direct and assist the workflow during their shift.
· Communicate information and conduct huddles with 2nd/3rd shift.
· Assist with the completion of IV room competencies of 2nd/3rd shift employees.
· Inventory maintenance and optimization.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
