Pharmacy Technician Remote Order EntryThrough our remote service, we serve acute-care hospitals and community based retail pharmacies, providing you an opportunity to practice hospital pharmacy outside of a hospital setting. This unique approach to pharmacy operations results in flexible work schedules, a team environment and time for you to focus on what you do best – patient care.Cardinal Health Remote Pharmacy Services is currently searching for a highly energetic and clinically oriented pharmacy technician to join our remote pharmacy team. The pharmacy technician is responsible for answering the telephone, handling calls from hospital staff and retail patients, and assisting pharmacists with order entry operations. Responsibilities:Assist Pharmacists and other Technicians with daily tasksHandle doctor calls and faxesProvide excellent customer service to customersWorks on projects as requested by Pharmacy DirectorPerforms order entry as neededMaintain friendly and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with medical professionals and customersKnowledge and understanding of a retail pharmacyQualifications:High School degree or equivalentPrevious work experience in a hospital setting and/or retail pharmacy is preferredProven customer service skillsMust be registered or licensed as required by the State Board of PharmacyNational certification is preferred3+ years Pharmacy Technician experience, preferredWhat is expected of you and others at this levelApplies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasksReadily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned areaMaintains appropriate licenses, training and certificationsWorks on routine assignments that require some problem resolutionWorks within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methodsAdheres to all quality guidelinesWorks under moderate degree of supervisionWork typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisorRefers complex unusual problems to supervisorAnticipated hourly range: $19.90 per hour - $27.39 per hour (including shift differentials)
