Pharmacy Technician

Provides assistance to the Physicians and Mid-Level Providers in the daily operations of all intravenous, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications administered in the infusion room.

REQUIRED

Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia Experience as a: Pharmacy Technician I for a minimum of one (1) year at Northside Hospital OR Pharmacy student with an Intern License issued by the State Board of Pharmacy with a minimum of one year of pharmacy experience OR Technician hired from outside the Northside System with one year of pharmacy related experience with a demonstrated proficiency in two identified pharmacy function areas such as, but not limited to, Production/Distribution, Sterile Compounding, Non-Sterile Compounding, Retail Pharmacy, Materials Management/Inventory, Investigational Medications, Patient Assistance Medications, Offsite Practice Medication Management. Non-certified technicians will have one year from the date of employment to successfully complete a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam recognized by the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy and certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA). In lieu of certification, Pharmacy students with Georgia Board of Pharmacy Intern License with a minimum of one (1) year of pharmacy experience.
