As a Pharmacy Technician at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, you will perform assigned duties in support of the Department of Pharmacy Services with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and patient safety.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare compounded sterile preparations (CSPs) using aseptic techniques and in following processes in full compliance with USP 797, USP 800, and other applicable regulationsComplete CSPs in a timely mannerAssist in any batching activitiesMaintain a clean and orderly work area, verifying that supplies within the area are within date and stored under appropriate conditionsOrder, receive, and restock CSP supplies to meet daily demands of the pharmacy.Use appropriate PPE and closed system transfer devices for the preparation of chemotherapy and other hazardous medicationsOrient and train new pharmacy personnelRecommend ideas to supervisor for improvement of methods and proceduresEducation and Experience Requirements:High School Diploma requiredAt least one year of pharmacy experience requiredAt least one year hospital pharmacy experience preferredPharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification required unless enrolled in a PharmD program
