Pharmacy Technician Job Description The pharmacy fill technician will prepare all medications and pharmacy supplies to be checked by a pharmacist and delivered to facilities. Responsibilities include filling cycle medications into blister or strip packages for unit dosing, utilizing automation to fill medications, manually filling prescriptions, preparing bulk supplies, antibiotics, and pain medications, and utilizing the Fluidose Machine. Work Environment Long term care pharmacy. Fulltime position, The schedule includes at least one opening shift (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) and one closing shift (11 a.m. - 8 p.m.) per week, with varied hours between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. for the rest of the week. The position requires working one weekend per month, with Saturday hours from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and on-call duties on that Sunday.
