Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives no instruction on routine work and general instructions on new assignments.

Position Description:

The Pharmacy Technician assists team members, physicians, and patients in the daily activities of data entry, answering phone calls, and clarifying physician orders, which are dispensed to our patients or patients' physicians' offices. These orders are shipped by our pharmacy warehouse staff to designated patients or providers as noted in the patient profile.

SkillsMaintains strong knowledge of pharmacy policies and government regulationsEnters prescription information data entry into pharmacy dispensing system for pharmacist reviewCalculates doses needed for patients based on prescription and prescribing guidelinesAssists with quality improvement initiatives2+ years of pharmacy operation experienceAssists patients and providers by answering phone calls and triaging to the appropriate team or personnel if neededUnderstands and works programs based on specific program guidelinesJob Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 26 Weeks.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Louisville, Kentucky and some days remote.

Work Environment

Ability to work 11:30 – 8p shift (non-negotiable)

Hybrid--mostly remote, but 3-4 days onsite a month

All initial training will be onsite (first 2 weeks). Could also be required to work onsite at any time based on return to work attestation that will be signed
