As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of prescription renewal requests. As a Pharmacy Technician , your responsibilities will include: + Process prescription renewal requests received via telephone, electronically, and fax. + Maintain proper stock and management of in-house pharmaceutical samples. + Adhere to the highest ethical standards, including HIPAA privacy standards. + Function as part of a collaborative care-giving team. + Process prior authorizations BenefitsCallen-Lorde is a great place to work we’re passionate, mission-driven people who care about health justice for LGBTQ communities. Learn more about our employee benefits https://callen-lorde.org/benefits/ Qualifications + Certification as a Pharmacy Technician or Medical Assistant through one or more of the following certification boards: + Pharmacy Technician Certification Board; + National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCAA); + Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT) + Or a recognized Medical Assistant Certification Program + Minimum High School diploma or equivalent education (GED or foreign diploma) required. + Strong Computer Competency Required. + Two years’ experience in a retail pharmacy, or community health care setting preferred.
