Job Description

Responsibilities:

Medication Preparation: Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients in long-term care facilities.

Prescription Verification: Receive and verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy and completeness.Patient Records: Maintain and update patient medication profiles.Medication Packaging: Fill and label medication bottles or blister packs with the correct dosage and information.Sterile Compounding: Prepare intravenous (IV) mixtures or other sterile products when required.Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory of medications and supplies.Communication: Communicate with healthcare providers and nursing staff regarding patient medication orders and potential interactions.Shipping: Package and ship medications to long-term care facilities.Administrative Tasks: Process insurance claims and handle administrative tasks such as answering phones and filing paperwork.Hard SkillsCustomer ServiceHIPPA CompliancePharmacy Technician MUST have a least 1 year of experienceData Entry MUST have at least 1 year of experienceInsurance VerificationSoft SkillsProblem-solvingCommunicationOrganizational skillsAbout Actalent
