The Pharmacy Tech assists the Pharmacist in the support of the drug distribution systems, including patient counseling and pharmacokinetic calculations, and participates in performance improvement and data collections activities. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
responsible for dosage preparationpreparation of sterile admixture using aseptic techniqueinventory control, controlled substances distribution, documentation and accountabilityassisting in the inspection of medication storage areas throughout the hospitalparticipates in providing pharmaceutical care for the following age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatricsperforms other tasks as assigned by the Pharmacistrequires accuracy and precisiondetail-orientedpart time: 10 hour shift on Saturday and Sunday, with potential to pick up weekday hours QualificationsEducation and Work Experience
previous hospital pharmacy technician experience, preferredPharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) current or obtained within 6 months of hire date, requiredState Pharmacy Technician License/Registration required (if required by state regulations)high school diploma or equivalentgraduate of ASHP-accredited or equivalent pharmacy technician training program, preferredour #hospital #pharmacy at #stjosephmedicalcenter also known as #SJMC is #hiring a #pharmacytech for a #perdiem shift for a #pharmacytech who has #accuracy and #precision and is #detailoriented to assist #pharmacists
