Job Description

Patient Care Coordinator - Pharmacy Technician (Intake)

Pay: $23/hr (contract) with a potential drop to $22/hr upon permanent hire in March/April.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review contents of referral to ensure complete and accurate information received.

- Create patient profile from a scan or fax image by entering correct patient and provider information.

- Conduct initial check of prescription to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.

- Communicate with provider regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns.

- Update concise progress notes to ensure other roles within the workflow can quickly assess the status of referral.

- Enter new provider information.

Qualifications / Requirements:

- High school graduate or equivalent.

- 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician (excluding trainee experience).

- Pharmacy Technician License (MUST BE FOR TEXAS).

This is a contract position through March/April with a chance to go permanent. When transitioned to direct hire, pay will drop to $22/hr.

Schedule: M-F 10am - 7pm CST (non-flexible). Training: 3 weeks, 9am - 6pm CST M-F.
