Pharmacy Technician
Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

This onsite position is located in Chandler, Arizona. The role involves performing data entry and patient registration in accordance with state and federal regulations. Responsibilities include resolving third-party rejects, responding to high-volume customer inquiries, and using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information. This role operates under direct supervision and follows standard operating procedures in line with company policies.

ResponsibilitiesProcess new patient registration by entering data into the appropriate system using prescription data entry procedures and guidelines.Handle patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.Troubleshoot to obtain missing prescription information and interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes).Resolve all data entry-related exceptions.Handle correspondence to patients (inbound calls, chats, emails) and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed.Resolve Third Party Rejects by reviewing, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.Make telephone calls to insurers and others to obtain information, gain override approval, or otherwise resolve Third Party Rejects.Provide assistance to Pharmacists in the facility and at other locations.Identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate.Obtain active technician license or certification within the first 90 days and maintain an active technician license or certification.Essential SkillsHigh School diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED.Current AZ Pharmacy Technician License/Registration without restrictions in good standing with State Board of Pharmacy.Fluency in Spanish is a plus.Work Environment

The work hours are from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with overtime available on Saturdays after a 4-week training period. The position offers flexibility on hours, but candidates need to be able to work an 8-hour shift between 7 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Training will be conducted from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, and a contractor cannot miss more than 4 hours of total training time within the first 30 days. If more than 4 hours of training time is needed, it is best to start the candidate later, ensuring they complete training before the sites go live on January 1st, 2025.
