Pharmacy Technician
Job Summary: In this onsite role, you will perform data entry and patient registration in accordance with state and federal regulations. You will handle third-party rejects and respond to high-volume customer inquiries under direct supervision, adhering to standard operating procedures and company policies. Key Responsibilities: + Process new patient registrations by entering data into the pharmacy system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines. + Handle patient prescription requests and enter refill orders, troubleshooting to obtain missing information and interpreting medical abbreviations. + Resolve third-party rejects by reviewing and gathering necessary information, making corrections, and resubmitting claims. + Communicate effectively with patients and prescribers via inbound and outbound calls, emails, and chats. + Assist pharmacists and communicate issues to staff as necessary. + Obtain and maintain an active pharmacy technician license or certification within the first 90 days. Qualifications: + High School diploma or equivalent GED. + Current AZ Pharmacy Technician License/Registration in good standing (required). + At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment is preferred. + Basic PC skills and proficiency in using search engines. + Intermediate keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM). + Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. + Must be at least 18 years of age. Training Schedule: + Training will take place from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, starting November 4th. Subsequent training sessions will begin every Monday through December 2nd. + Contractors must not miss more than 4 hours of training in the first 30 days. Time off exceeding this limit may require rescheduling. Work Environment: + This is a fully onsite position in Chandler, AZ. Flexibility in hours is available, but candidates must be able to work an 8-hour shift between 7 AM and 5:30 PM.
