Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team as a Patient Care Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for intake processes and ensuring the accuracy of patient information. This position offers a temporary contract with the potential to become permanent.

ResponsibilitiesReview the contents of referrals to ensure complete and accurate information is received.Create patient profiles from scanned or faxed images by entering correct patient and provider information.Conduct initial checks of prescriptions to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns.Update concise progress notes to ensure other roles within the workflow can quickly assess the status of referrals.Enter new provider information into the system.Essential SkillsHigh school graduate or equivalent.2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician (excluding trainee time).Pharmacy Technician License (must be valid in Texas).Pharmacy technician certificate and certification.Proficient computer skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong attention to detail.Excellent communication skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 10am to 7pm CST. Training will be provided for the first 3 weeks from 9am to 6pm CST, Monday to Friday. The position is initially a contract role through March/April, with the potential to become permanent. The work environment is professional and focused on delivering personalized patient care.
