Pharmacy Technician
Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for filling prescription items as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, and meeting accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy. You will also label products with cautionary and auxiliary labels, participate in periodic inventory, check drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items from inventory. Additionally, you will prepare medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding. You may also process return medications from facilities for credit. Responsibilities + Fill prescription items as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy. + Package medications for dispensing and delivery. + Meet accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy. + Label products with cautionary and auxiliary labels. + Participate in periodic inventory of the pharmacy. + Check drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items from inventory. + Prepare medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding. + Process return medications from facilities for credit. Essential Skills + Must register with the State of Wisconsin prior to starting. + 1 year of pharmacy experience. + Pharmacy technician certification (CPHT) is preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Long-term care pharmacy experience is preferred. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There are no weekend shifts required.
