Job Details Summary The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist in the preparation and distribution of medications to patient care units. Responsibilities: • Utilizes electronic medical record system to generate reports for medication fill. • Check expiration dates of medications. • Assembles and prepares parenteral medications. • Fills medication cassettes and medication labels. • Delivers medications to patient care areas. • Maintains floor stock/Pyxis • Inventory control. • Pre-packs medications in ready-to-use format. • Maintains equipment that are used for preparing and compounding medications. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent required • Pharmacy Technician certification required • NYS Pharmacy Technician license required • Experience working in a hospital preferred Salary Range USD $30.49 - USD $30.49 /Hr. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
