Pharmacy Technician at Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, OR.

This position will float to 2 other Providence locations: St Vincent Medical Center in Portland and Newberg Medical Center in Newberg. 

Full-Time Day/Variable Shift - Scheduled days of the week will vary and will include days, evenings, nights and weekends.

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment. 

The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech II performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner.  Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS)

Required qualifications:

H.S. Diploma or GED upon hire: Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician. Or upon hire: Oregon Pharmacy Technician License. 1 year Minimum of one year (> 2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification  - OR - 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified.

Preferred qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program. Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable for role. Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)
