Pharmacy Technician San Antonio, TX Job Description: + Review patient preferences notes (container, flavor, capsule color, etc.) on compound prescriptions. + Review current and future compound orders to ensure on-time and efficient delivery/pickup at the correct location. + Research formulations for the stability of the compound and the individual ingredients. + Prior to making each compound: verify calculations of quantities for all necessary ingredients; utilize dimensional analysis on most compound calculations; calculate processing error as needed; accurately weigh each ingredient. + Assemble, use, and maintain specialized equipment (Unguator, scales, hot plate, ointment mill, etc.). + Compound various non-sterile dosage forms (cream, rapid dissolve tablets, lollipops, etc.) using specialized techniques and formula. Additional Skills & Qualifications: + TSBP Registered Pharmacy Technician. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + High school diploma or equivalent. + Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration. + Experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
