Immediate Opening - Pharmacy Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for filling prescription items, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, and ensuring that all tasks meet the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy. The role also involves labeling products appropriately, participating in periodic inventory, and preparing various medications, including non-sterile compounding. Effective communication with internal and external parties is essential. Responsibilities + Fill prescription items as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy. + Package medications for dispensing and delivery, ensuring accuracy and productivity standards are met. + Label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels. + Participate in periodic inventory of the pharmacy. + Check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items from inventory. + Prepare medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding. + Communicate effectively with internal and external parties. Essential Skills + Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) + Pharmacy Technician certification Additional Skills & Qualifications + Strong attention to detail + Good communication skills + Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Work Environment This role requires working in a pharmacy setting with four total positions available. Shifts are from 8 AM to 5 PM and 1 PM to 10 PM. Candidates must be able to work weekends. The work environment is professional and requires adherence to safety and accuracy standards. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
