Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated pharmacy technician to support our long-term care pharmacy operations in OKC. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the well-being of our long-term care

ResponsibilitiesFill prescription items as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, ensuring accurate packaging for dispensing and delivery.Label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.Participate in periodic inventory checks, manage drug and supply stocks, and remove out-of-date items.Prepare medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, which may involve non-sterile compounding.Communicate with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner.Process returned medications from facilities for credit or destruction.Assist in the training of new employees.Perform tasks in specialized areas such as: working in the Controlled Drugs Room, operating automated machines to prepack drugs, managing inventory, inputting patient data and medication orders into the computer system, mixing and packaging IV medications, and servicing facility-based medication dispensing machines.Perform other tasks as assigned.Essential SkillsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Experience in a pharmacy setting and familiarity with medical terminology.Ability to operate a computer and recognize medications.Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and a team player with effective oral communication skills.Pharmacy Technician license.Work Environment

This role operates within an office environment, typically working with a small team of 4-5 technicians per shift. The shift hours are from 3:30 pm to midnight, with possible work every third Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Our non-retail, closed-door pharmacy setting allows you to focus on fulfilling the pharmaceutical needs of our clients. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
