We are seeking a Community Pharmacy Technician to join our full service community pharmacy n our state-of-the-art Headquarters in Las Colinas, TX

Position Summary
As a Pharmacy Technician you will act as a trusted health care resource and ensure the customer’s needs are met through effective day-to-day support of the operations of the Community Pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician with a focus on business growth is responsible for supporting the pharmacy's operational needs while actively contributing to strategies and initiatives aimed at expanding the pharmacy's business. This role combines traditional pharmacy technician duties with responsibilities that drive business growth and enhance customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Specific duties will include, but not be limited to:
Retrieving, pouring, counting, labeling, and reconstituting prescription medicationsAccessing, inputting, and retrieving information through the Pharmacy’s computer network to maintain accurate recordsCreating accurate prescription labelsObtaining refill authorizations from prescribersProcessing and preparing third-party insurance claimsCommunicating with physicians, patients, and third-parties, such as insurersMaintaining accurate patient/ client profilesMaintaining Pharmacy inventoryPreparing reports related to sales, usage, and inventoryComplying with established procedures, rules, and regulationsProviding completed orders to customersAnswering phones and directing customer calls to the appropriate personnelMaintaining and cleaning equipment, work areas, and shelvesAccepting prescriptions to be filled and ensuring that the PIC has the data necessary to fill the ordersGreeting and assisting customersRecordkeeping related to inventories, receipts, purchases, deliveries, returns and recallsCollecting co-paymentsPackaging and labeling products under the supervision of the PICRestocking shelvesUnpacking and organizing incoming merchandise, including sorting items that require special handlingRotating stock, checking for outdated medications and initiating re-ordering process of low inventoriesUnderstanding confidentiality with respect to patient/ client care; complying with all federal and state laws applicable to the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and electronic protected health information (EPHI); and following HIPAA guidelines regarding readily identifiable protected health informationWorking as a team and communicating clearlyHelping customers locate over-the-counter productsHandling customer problems/ concerns in a calm manner and referring them to the pharmacist accordinglyNotifying the pharmacist of any problems or malfunctionsChecking refrigerator and freezer temperaturesProperly processing pseudoephedrine salesProperly processing Medicare DME claimsPromoting teamworkProviding professional servicesIdentifying opportunities for process improvementActively participating and developing marketing and promotional activitiesAssisting in the development and execution of pharmacy business plansStaying informed about industry trends and advancementCreate comprehensive reports and presentations to share with the pharmacy team and management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.Minimum Requirement
Typically requires 3+ years of related experience
Education
Minimum High school diploma or equivalencyBachelor's degree preferredCertification
Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification or willing to complete certification upon hireActive pharmacy technician license in the state of TexasNational technician certification preferredCPR CertifiedCritical Skills
