Job Description
We are seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians to work remotely. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for reviewing Prior Authorizations for determination in a department that is part of a large healthcare insurance company. You will approve or deny authorizations and send them to a Pharmacist for final review. This role involves handling all health plans and various types of medications.
ResponsibilitiesProcess prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and conducting member and physician outreach.Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and escalated member issues.Escalate prescription-related questions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or processing direction.Assist with inbound and outbound patient or physician calls.Essential SkillsHigh School diploma or GED.Basic computer skills.Nationally Certified Technician and registered pharmacy technician in the state of residence.Strong computer skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook.Experience working in call centers, PBMs, hospitals, or specialty pharmacies.Experience with prescription benefits.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
