Pharmacy Technician
Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Job Description We are looking to add an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician to support our long-term care pharmacy in Oklahoma City. The Order Entry Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for entering prescriptions into the Remedi SeniorCare Framework/DocuTrack pharmacy system with both speed and accuracy. Responsibilities + Enter prescriptions into the Remedi SeniorCare Framework/DocuTrack pharmacy system with speed and accuracy. + Spend a large portion of the job at a desk entering prescriptions, with no patient billing involved. + Make phone calls primarily to providers and nursing home staff, not patients. + Understand and work with the pharmacy computer system Framework/DocuTrack, specifically for order entry functions. + Research, follow up, and troubleshoot prescription/patient data entry discrepancies. + Resolve any discrepancies in orders with the customer, including illegible prescriptions and other potential medication concerns. Essential Skills + Previous pharmacy tech data entry experience (Retail/Hospital). + Long-term pharmacy experience with a minimum of 2+ years. + Knowledge of sig codes. + Oklahoma pharmacy tech license. Work Environment + The work environment is an office setting. + The team typically consists of 4-5 techs working together during their shift. + The regular shift is from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, with a requirement to work some weekends (1-2 monthly) once the candidate can work without supervision, which is typically after three months. Weekend shifts are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with days off during the week plus a $1 hourly shift differential. Candidates will receive two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch daily.
