Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description We are looking to add an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician to support a long-term care pharmacy. The role involves entering prescriptions into the Remedi SeniorCare Framework/DocuTrack pharmacy system with both speed and accuracy. Responsibilities + Enter prescriptions into the Remedi SeniorCare Framework/DocuTrack pharmacy system accurately and efficiently. + Perform data entry tasks at a desk, primarily focusing on prescription entry. + Communicate mainly with providers and nursing home staff over the phone. + Utilize knowledge of universal sig codes. + Understand and operate the pharmacy computer system Framework/DocuTrack for order entry functions. + Research, follow up, and troubleshoot prescription/patient data entry discrepancies. + Resolve discrepancies in orders with customers, including illegible prescriptions and other potential medication concerns. Essential Skills + Previous pharmacy technician data entry experience in a retail or hospital setting. + Minimum of 2 years of experience in a long-term care pharmacy. + Possession of an Oklahoma pharmacy technician license. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Customer service skills. + Inventory management. + Data entry proficiency. + Pharmacy technician certification (Cpht). + Knowledge of medication dosage calculation, medication knowledge, and sig codes. + Experience with prior authorization. Work Environment The position is based in an office environment using the Remedi SeniorCare Framework and DocuTrack software. You will work in a small team of 4-5 technicians. The initial three weeks will involve corporate training on the computer from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday. The standard shift is from 11:30 AM to 8 PM, Monday to Friday. After three months, weekend shifts will be required, which are 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday and 8 AM to 4 PM on Sunday, with days off during the week. Candidates will receive two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break daily. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.50/hr.
