Pharmacy Technician

Our Client, a Healthcare company, is looking for a Pharmacy Technician for their Mammoth Lakes, CA location. Responsibilities:
+ Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, compounds and dispenses medications.
+ May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department.
+ Receives and stores incoming supplies. Verifies stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
+ As a systems coordinator assists with database management and some key elements of pharmacy computer system infrastructure.
+ Inputs patient data into computer.
+ Orders drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacist.
+ Controls stock (except Schedule II, III, IV drugs); prepackages drugs; prepares stock solutions and written formulas; receives, signs, and stores stock items.
+ Ensures that all are checked by the pharmacist.
+ Helps maintain orderly, clean environment in the department, including cleanliness of pharmacy stock and supplies.
+ Completes requisitions, maintains files for prescriptions, purchase orders, stock orders, requisitions, etc.
+ Receives, inspects and verifies credit returns.
+ Removes or recommends removal of slow, unneeded or outdates drugs from stock; prepares for return or disposal.
+ Stocks Pyxis, emergency boxes and crash carts under pharmacist supervision.
+ Process employee prescriptions under supervision of Pharmacist.
Requirements:

+ Excellent communication skills
+ Organized
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ State of California Certified Pharmacy Technician required.
