Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician (All Levels) to join the team. This role will be full-time and part-time Monday – Friday, Days/Evenings rotating shifts. Rotating weekends| Sign-on Bonus eligible (full-time only).

Pharmacy Technician Job Responsibilities:

Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies. Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits. Restocks assigned areas, puts away unused medications in addition to utilizing want book and associated inventory management procedures. Orders items, properly stocks shelves, processes returns and identifies vendor errors. Accurately fills automated dispensing devices and unit dose pick, first doses and floor stock. Assists Pharmacist in drug selection and counting medications accurately.

Additional Requirements:

Work schedule: 8-hour shift (days/evenings rotating shift. Rotating weekends.) Education: High School or GED.  Experience: Pharmacy Technician 1: One (1) year Pharmacy Technician experience preferred. Pharmacy Technician 2: One year experience working as a Pharmacy Technician (hospital experience preferred). One (1) year IV training/experience preferred. Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
