Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist our Pharmacy Technician / CPhT procures, prepares, packages, distributes and disposes medications and pharmaceutical supplies to assist the department in providing quality pharmaceutical care for all patients.

  

Shift Time: 9p-7:30a

 

Maintains an established inventory of drugs and commonly used supplies.Ensures Pharmacist product verification and facilitates the timely and appropriate distribution of medications to maintain product integrity. Maintains accurate records and patient profiles including charging and crediting.Responds timely to customers' needs by answering phone calls, receiving and distributing messages, and triaging requests appropriately.Conducts regular quality assurance inspections focused on TJC requirements, including the examination of product integrity and expiration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Successful completion of an ASHP accredited technician training program or enrollment in a professional-related school preferred. 6 months experience as Pharmacy Technician or completion of ASHP-accredited tech training program preferred. Current CPhT certification through either PTCB or NHA and active Georgia Pharmacy Technician registration, or current enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy with a current Georgia Pharmacy Intern license. Must maintain certification and registration through entire length of employment.
