Job Description
The Customer Experience Technician is responsible for providing a superior customer experience and a supportive environment for optimal patient care. This role involves handling high volume phone calls, data order entry, verifying billing and shipping addresses, and managing mail order pharmacy orders. The technician will take inbound and make outbound calls, referring calls to pharmacists as necessary. The position averages 45-50 calls a day, refilling prescriptions and setting up orders in a call center environment.
ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate a working knowledge of all pharmacy rules and regulations.Interpret faxes, e-scripts, verbal, and written prescription orders.Input all information into the EMED system.Charge credit cards for orders.Answer patient phone calls and provide excellent customer service.Process refill requests from patients and doctors’ offices.Call patients about new prescriptions and IVR requests.Call doctors for refill requests.Maintain compliance with Company and HIPAA patient confidentiality requirements.Essential SkillsCustomer servicePharmacy technician license or Pharmacy Technician Trainee License with the ability to obtain a license within 90 daysProficiency in data entryCurrent CPhT CertificationRegistration with DORA as a licensed technician or provisional license1 year of customer service experienceCall center experienceFamiliarity with Microsoft Office products, data entry, email, and internet softwareAdditional Skills & QualificationsType at least 30 words per minuteFamiliarity with Microsoft Teams and Office 365High School Diploma or equivalentWork Environment
Fast growing holistic pharmacy with a large internal team. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5:30/6 PM, with one Saturday a quarter required from 8 AM to 12 PM, and never on major holidays. Training is from 8 AM to 4:30 PM for the first 4-6 weeks, after which the schedule will change to 9 AM to 5:30 PM. There is potential to move to an earlier schedule if preferred. The dress code is business casual or scrubs. The company has 128 employees, with a team of 30 people.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $22.50/hr.
