Astria Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team! This is a day shift position with the hours of 7:30am - 4:00pm with a rotating schedule that does include weekends and holidays.
What you get to do every day!
The Pharmacy Technician assists in performing manipulative, nondiscretionary functions associated with the practice of pharmacy under the immediate supervision and control of a licensed pharmacist. You will:
Handles and selects medications appropriately and accurately for distribution to patients as described in the pharmacy’s ancillary utilization plan; Has work checked and verified when required by the pharmacist. Prepares medications for distribution to patients including sterile and non-sterile compounding of hazardous and non-hazardous medications; Has work checked and verified when required by the pharmacist. Assists with the ordering, delivery, and tracking of medications within the facility, including medication storage and inventory management. Answer the pharmacy phones, and greet people at the door(s) of the pharmacy and throughout the hospital in a courteous and professional manner. Maintains medication records according to the hospital policies, state and federal rules and regulations and other governing bodies. Performs non-discretionary reviews, audits, and inspections and reports to the pharmacist. Performs other duties as assigned Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries. High School Graduation or equivalent Current Washington State Pharmacy Technician LicenseOral and written fluency in the English language.
