Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician I, under the immediate oversight of the Pharmacist, shall support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department and is responsible for the efficient, accurate and timely preparation, compounding, labeling, and delivering of pharmaceuticals to assure customer satisfaction. Required Registration: Florida Department of Health Pharmacy Technician Registry or enrolled into a BayCare hospital with a Florida Board of Pharmacy Licensed Training Program for the Employer Based Registered Pharmacy Technician Training Program (reference BC-Phar-311 – Technician Career Ladder – for policy details and exceptions). Preferred experience is 1-year Institutional practice or equivalent as determined by the hiring manager. Required specific skills may also include successfully passing Pharmaceutical Calculations exam.
