Responsibilities Consistently demonstrates safe handling and disposal of chemotherapy agents as outlined by OSHA, USP 797-800, ONS, QOPI and JACHO standards. Possesses specialized skills and knowledge of chemotherapeutic and biotherapeutic admixture techniques. Timely pulls pre-medications from Lynx; mixes and sets up for pharmacist check. Timely pulls chemotherapy/biotherapy as orders are presented. Safely and accurately mixes/prepares all prescribed medications including chemotherapy/biotherapy according to order and in a timely and efficient manner to insure minimal delay in patient treatment. Prepares labels, bags and tags. Dates and properly stores partial multi-dose vials. Draws up and dates injectables. Participates in dispensing pharmacy as permitted by scope of practice. Proficient with computer systems. Reviews stock and orders medications daily from vendor and/or other suppliers including orals and drop ships. Follow up on back ordered stock. Assess non-stock items and IV tubing and place order in Meditech. Receives/checks in all orders. Qualifications 1 year hospital experience preferred or other relevant experience as a medical technician. Muse be a certified pharmacy technician. Constant hand manipulations.
