Our service area covers 14 counties, from the front range to the Kansas border, with locations throughout Colorado Springs, Fountain, Flagler, Divide, Limon, and Strasburg. Peak Vista is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC). Compensation (Pay): $22.50 to $32.63 /hourly, based on experience. A $1000 sign on bonus will be paid in the following manner: $300 payout upon 30 days of employment, $300 payout upon 90 days of employment, and $400 payout upon one year of employment*. *Current employees are not eligible for the sign on bonus. Loyalty Bonus - $1200 upon 1 year of service and then a $300 payout for every additional 3 months worked. This applies to only FT employees. The amount will be prorated for PT employees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Performs all essential duties and responsibilities of Pharmacy Technician I + Places and receives 340b orders from drug wholesaler to ensure adequate supply of medications in the pharmacy + Notates and files invoices and packaging slips in compliance with Board of Pharmacy regulations + Records receipt of medications and contraceptive devices in accordance with federal Drug Supply Chain Security Act requirements + Places orders specific to each clinic for 340b and non-340b medications ensuring medications are classified and priced correctly + Creates and applies barcodes to 340b clinic stock ensuring accurate records for 340b compliance + Transfers inventory into and out of pharmacy and clinics as required for 340b compliance + Fills clinic-specific medication stock order and prepares for delivery to or pick up from clinic with additional attention to proper handling of medications classified as hazardous + Coordinates orders with materials management and outside vendors to maintain adequate stock of office and general supplies + Creates and processes purchase orders including communication to accounts payable + Promotes and demonstrates the mission, vision, and core values of Peak Vista + Develops and maintains good working relationships with all departments, the management team, medical staff, and leadership + Embraces cultural diversity amongst ourselves and our community + Responsible for the human, financial, and material resources as well as data and information entrusted to us + Strives to deliver the best outcomes and highest quality service + Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to the compliance plan and conflict of interest requirements + Enhances the effectiveness; efficiency and productivity of the department by contributing to, and participating in, departmental performance improvement goals + Performs other duties as assigned Supervision Exercised: None Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: Education: High school diploma or equivalent education. Work Experience: Minimum of 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician required, minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician preferred. Certificates and Licenses: National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) and State of Colorado Pharmacy Technician License (PHAT), or Provisional License (PHAT) required. Computer Skills: Basic – ability to access the intra/internet to manage timecard, review policies and procedures, and read company communications; use e-mail to communicate with co-workers, leadership, and other departments; enter and correct data, modify a workbook, format a worksheet, and use printing functions; create, run, & print a simple presentation in PowerPoint Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
