Pharmacy Technician II-Medication Reconciliation
Job Summary The Medication Reconciliation Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting pharmacists to collect up-to-date prior-to-admission medication history for patients admitted to the hospital, clarifying and updating allergy information in patients' records in order to optimize the medication reconciliation process and decrease the number of medication errors due to incomplete or inaccurate information. Education High school diploma or the equivalent. Experience Minimum of two years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Previous retail pharmacy experience including prescription transcription duties preferred. (Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience) Licensure/Certification OK permit required upon hire and PTCB CPhT certification required within 90 days of hire (subject to termination). Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Excellent computer skills are required. Must demonstrate an ability to learn complicated processes, perform work accurately with attention to detail. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals. Compensation $14.29-$23.34/hr dependant upon previous experience Work Shift Day Position Type Regular Full Time
